I had him down to 1600 for the whole car but I still think you could get it cheaper.

I tried this on the way home, one pass only (using the ADyno app on my Droid X). 9.6seconds, a bit slower than yours, but had a lot of tire spinning at the launch, probably can do better if I launch without the spinning. Also winter diesel. Alda adjusted to a little black at takeoff, shift points at ~4800rpm.

I think that a healthy example can probably get there in under 9, a sedan maybe 8.5.

I've maybe had 4 runs 10 seconds or under, one was 8.5 or something, but I omitted that one since it isn't consistent. Mine launches well, although it doesn't really burn out.

ok, so we've got a consensus that the 603 powered 124 is capable of better than 12 seconds so my 8 second remark on a really healthy example is not far from the mark.
my wagon has NEVER been timed in any way, but it pulls decent hills with a mild load in the back, to 60 very quickly. much more powerful than my 10 second 617 powered 82SD however, I've found that the 10 second SD has an error in the speedo. it's odd AT 70mph it's correct, but 40 to 60 it reads faster than actual, so I need to get the gmeter running on it to see what it really does.

OK, I sit corrected and need to adjust my ALDA. And get a smart phone for 0-60 times.
