Call it what you want, you can always change the name

By the time you get 400 thousand on it, you will undoubtedly call it " Money Pit".

The special edition in '95 had the stainless sill plates, some special paint colors available, the (IMO ugly and why I removed them from my car) 6-spoke special edition wheels, the burlwood instead of zebra wood, and a built-in phone with hands-free and controls/buttons over the rearview mirror.

Took the car on its first roadtrip of 600mi. Had a diesel purge run, filters change and came out with 33mpg on the highway (with hi-test additive). It drove well and I'm pretty pleased. Waiting to switch out fuel lines and do a coolant flush and acid wash. I've been trying to figure out how I can hit 35mpg hwy on this thing.

Thanks for all the name suggestions. I liked "Cochise" the best, though many were equally funny, like money pit.

I like the rims too, i think i'd like to get the brake calipers and rims painted in the summer, the rims have got a lot of paint peeling off.

distinct metal thunk from the rear
Inspect the front/rear flex disc to make sure that a worn out flex disc is not causing the metallic thunk. If the disc are worn out you need to replace them asap.

Probably a vacuum leak causing the harsh shifting.

Looks like you got a good car for a good price. Get all the bugs worked out and you will consider it the best car you have ever owned.
