The side-exhaust is purely logistical, front drive-shaft runs along the passenger side.

Not too concerned about the cool factor...I'm already driving an early land cruiser with an om617

Need to put some miles on my newly improved cruiser...monitor EGTs and adjust ALDA.

for the record, open exhaust isn't as load as you might think.

I had to cut my exhaust to remove the rear sub frame over the weekend after I had everything installed except the exhaust I drove around the block holey crap it was loud, it was cut right at the ebrak adjuster, no carpet in the car, rust repair going on. I am sure it would be different if it went all the way to the back.
