Bear in your Tank?

I was poking aound reading through some old threads. I`ll see a user name I haven`t seen before and wonder if the guy is still around, HMMMM back in 05. so click on user name and then see what they were talking about back then.

Came across this article the guy posted about a bear attracted to Bio-Diesel.

http://www.boston.com/news/local/connecticut/articles/2005/05/30/cars_alternative_fuel_said_to_attract_bear/

never heard of about this before, but anything is possible, so be aware

Was it dark out? It could have been some of our wvo burning members.

Barry, are you saying that WVO users are like bears? Unshaven, bad tempered very low IQ, bad attitude, limited vocab, to be avoided?

I have absolutly no bias against any of our wvo burning members and other visiting dumpster divers. When I first joined the site they were unfairly compared to people that commited indecent exposure. Some thought they were even comitting vehicular homicide...

This was an unjust comparison and had a negative effect. It tended to keep a lot of them in the closet. You had to pry out of them what their fuel orientation really was to deal with their issues. It was a dark period in our site's history.

Then they were next accused by many dino users of being road tax evaders. I have stated over and over that they are probably not responible for the extensive federal and state deficits. Yet I freely admit at the same time not having seen any statistics to suppport my position.
.
Remember all it takes is to openly admit that you are a wvo user. To help you keep it in proportion there are far worse things in life. People will hopefully understand.

Really though I harbour no bias. What a person does with their money and time is up to them. Plus we have some nice members that do burn wvo..Since they can find the time to do this alone creates some envy in a positive way by me.

A warning by the same token to those using methods that are too crude is reasonable at the same time. Thats if it is not personal. Our membership may decline as these older versions of diesels come off the road with time. We will not want to feel a segment of the membership declined because of our attitudes or bias.

I have always understood that how you spend your money is the inverse side of how you make it. I try to make sound decisions on how we spend ours. Or at least the portion that I have any control over.

My best future contribution to this site is slowly trying to increase the fuel milage on the older engines or at least find ways to optimise it as much as possible. This involves a lot of experimentation with elevating the blocks running temperature if possible. Theoretically it is possible unless there is some original insurmountable design issue.

My personal issue is still at this time. I do not get enough spare time to enjoy many things I like to do. I should have really retired when I did. There are resultant issues always arriving otherwise of varying complexity with too much actitivity. A natural and understandable consequence I believe.

I was able to get off the operating table with a clear bill of health once again monday after my yearly examination. So there may yet be enough time .I also edited this post somewhat as I was less than comfortable with it. Few are perfect and I am less so.
