I have a leak in my transmission. I put it on a lift and cleaned the left side. Hopefully I have tracked down the leak. Can I fix it by replacing the 2 o-rings? The repair manual that I found pretty much just tells you how to overhaul. I just need some advice from an expert.

What car is this? if it's the B2 Piston you can likely replace the whole thing... but I dont know

I believe that the screw in hex cap 35 requires a soft aluminum washer.

I knew I forgot something. its an '87 300TD.

Let me preface this by saying i'm pretty in the dark about automatic transmissions. The manual says that this part is the "pressure body B1". I don't know what this is or what its purpose is.

If that hex plug takes an aluminum washer, then that sounds easy enough, I didn't see any sort of seal between the plug and the tranny case in the diagram though. I also haven't tried taking it out.

The is no washer behind that plug, that's why it leaks.
I fixed mine with a soft aluminum washer. There is also a hex plug on the other side, same deal there.
