Iam amazed at how quickly you people are at turning this into a parts car, an/or sending it to the salvage yard.

The inventory of these W123 is dwindling down at an alarming rate.
It seems everyone just loves these cars, but the least thing goes wrong, and dump it and or crush. the old car just isn`t worth it.

I see this as a project of course. and the auto is a drag to have in a 240. I would replace it with a 4 spd., window regulators isn`t that big a deal to R&R or source from PNP. maybe up grade the seats to some newer ones from a later model. Body work to me is small and a easy fix, but I haven`t seen it except for the cowell area.

if this was something I was to do, it would be for me and not for resale. but to each their own.

at the moment, Roy has dibs on the car. I will pick it up tomorrow and take it to my shop to give it an inspection per Roy's request.
if I find anything that throws off Roy's decision, you are welcome to contact the owner and make an offer.

Sumbish, you guys are some picky customers! I better not post any pics of my car ... it's MUCH uglier than that one!

Seriously though ... if that thing were on my side of the island I'd be looking at it myself. My aging mother would love to drive a car like that. Cheap, safe, reliable and automatic, with no crap to break. Rust hole? Meh. Leaky windscreen? OK. But it looks and sounds like a fabulous daily driver.

It is not for me..
I am passing the word among my customers.
If you have a buyer, take the cash.
Many are gone for the holidays = hard to reach until after new-years day..

I have sent e-mails and left voice messages for my snow bird customers RE: this car + how to contact you direct.

ya don't need to move the battery to flush the leaves... just hit the hinge area with a hose.
or a shop vac with a small nozzel...
MB needs to make this drain better, but we have what we have. a good push with a hose, and perhaps a soft stick to help it along will preserve your firewall...
