Going down the interstate, they were all similar saving for the fact that my 240D's had no cruise control while my 124 and 210 cars both had cruise. On a nice winding mountain road, the 124 and 210 made you want to throw rocks at the 123. All around if I had to drive all the time as I used to, and maintain the cars myself as I always did, I would probably pick 123 car, particularly a four cylinder 123 diesel car. The simplicity was akin to keeping a Model A going as compared to the tougher to work on 124 and especially 210 cars. |

Engine was running great, with a new timng-chain, and it was alrewady a stickshift, so he could be ready to fix up your 5-speed 240D if you wanted to sell it. Happy Motoring, Mark

W124 hands down
My w124's are far more comfortable, for me, than anything else. Only problem is.. everyone has one. I see several a day. Although I don't see many '87 300D 5 spd's lol, or 400e's for that matter.

When I glanced over the title of this thread, at first I thought it said,
"trading my w1f3 for a w124" And my first thought was, what the mileage on each? ...okay
