Note that the '87 is completely different from the '91-up which has the larger boxes on the rear shelf. The '87 is IMO easy.

I would really hesitate to have BB do it. Unless you get a warm fuzzy from the installer that he's done a lot of 124's before, those grills are very fragile and subject to easy breakage, as a previous poster mentioned. You get some kid on the install job and those things are gonna be toast. If the car has been out in the sun they're gonna be toast anyway.

Under those circumstances I'd rather make my own toast!

Well, I didn't get all warm and fuzzy. But the guy did do a good job on the deck and the front speakers....gave the impression that he knows what he's doing.

To report back: I'm VERY glad I had someone else do it. Turns out the 5-1/4" original speakers are much more shallow than the 5-1/4" that most (all?) manufacturers make today. In my case, I was using Polk Audio. The problem was they wouldn't drop into the original well in the sheet metal. So the installer had to bend the sheet metal to get them to fit. Ended up being a great installation....glad I didn't do it myself.
