1993 300d (w124) seat back
I need to remove the passenger front seat back to replace it with one I bought, since the pocket in it is torn.
Anyone out there know how to remove it? I took out the two screws in the bottom, but it won't slide down or even budge. There must be a method to it. Thanks! Dave |

I find it easiest to have someone sit in the seat and push their back into it, slackening the material on the sides, then slide a small round object (I use a #1 phillips screwdriver) up to pull the materal rearward and out of the slot in either end of the seatback.
The fabric has a hard plastic strip sewn into the edge to retain it there.

Thanks, Jeff for your help! The job worked out very well and I now have a new seat back.
Thanks again! Dave |
