who wants a 123 or 126 skid plate?

who wants a 123 or 126 skid plate?
I recently aquired a full skid plate on a 123, and I am going to build some for sale.
I'm going to mimic the 123 one, and build it from mild steel.
I have pulled some pathfinder stainless skidplates, and will attempt to adapt them.
also pulled a suburban aluminum skidplate to see what I can make work there.
anybody want detailed pics, and drawings with measurments to turn it into a cad drawing let me know!

I HATE finding dents in pans and worrying what caused it, and what damage was done.

the 617 pan sits SOOOO low it's the first thing hit in a simple mishap... a skid plat should have been standard!

Interested.

I would love to see pics if you have a mock up or test.

I dropped my pan a couple years ago to remove a big dent that was present at time or purchase.

All my 126's are lowered and i drive Ohio roads. I would certainly be interested. I would also be happy to do up some CAD for you (probably use solidworks so you could get a pretty 3D model) Hit me up if you need some help.

I'd be interested in a W126 plate, how much? A material that does not rust would be better!

I would love one for my W116. My W111 had factory skid plates under the engine, fuel lines, differential, and gas tank.

126 here. I have a new oil pan that just came in today. The old one looked horrible! I mentioned making one in another thread. They should be very easy to make.

Defintely interested, let us know the ~pricing. The more I crawl around under out 123's, the more the oil pans seems to protrude like a curb feeler.

I'd also be interested. I have two 126s. Both have dented pans. One car is on its second engine as the first was run out of oil by SWMBO who ran over something in the road and ran it till it seized.

I am also interested in something for a 126.
How big are you making them?
I have rerouted coolant & fuel lines that need protection.

the original 123 plate is steel, it's got tube steel braces that bolt to the frame of the vehicle, I'm confident I can duplicate the one I have, and I think a relief for the oil drain plug makes sense.
the pathfinder plate I have is smaller than the pair of plates that bolt up to the 123, but I think it will work well on the 126, we'll see.
the suburban plate being aluminum is going to be trickier...

it all depends on how much trouble I have to go through.
I think it will be cheap if i can get decent steel prices. I think the price I paid at PNP for the pathfinder plate was 21.00, so a little tubing bent to shape, and some welding should be under 120 total.
stainless and aluminum are going to be more I'm sure.
after the holidays I'll take some measurements and post up some specs.
