I sourced all the parts for mine (lights, bezel, dial, etc). I figure you can do a checkvalve rather than an additional resovoir though.
The 124 has a separate pump for the door locks, perhaps it ties into those.

I'm sorry, I was speaking of a 126, which still has a pump for door locks.

The 500 SEL I sourced all my bits from had it tied into the main vacuum line and an additional line that went behind the drivers side front fender. Another 500SEL at the yard had that fender removed and there was a vacuum resovoir there.

I decided that was too much to mess with so I left it.

BTW, other than the euro headlight bezel and dial, i have not hooked any of the other stuff up yet so I don't have experiece installing it, just from seeing it on it's original car.

I just received a pair of Depo euro's for my 85 126 that I purchased from a member here. Their website states they are plug and play but I am finding out that is not correct. I have tried to push the factory plug onto the pins all 3 possible ways and it does not go on. Has anyone else bought these before ?
My car had the std US lights and I can see that the Depo ones might be made to fit addl cars thus the male connector can fit other applications. However I will be darned if I can get it to go on it almost seems like the pins are a slightly different size. It is almost 50 degrees out today so I am trying to do this while it is warm out. I have emailed Depo's website 3 times with no response, does anyone have a phone # they do not have one listed.
Thanks

Idont know about the 126 cars, but i had to use different connectors to make them work in a 124.If the 126 arrangement is the same as the 124 the simple way would be to buy the connectors from the ebay seller i got them from(see first post) he even solders in the extra wire for the "city lights" and sends excellent instructions with color pictures for which wires go where in the plugs, makes it hard to go wrong. The lights are worth the efforts,no comparison to the originals. Thanks Don, I actualy bought thee from a member here who had them on an 81 300SD so it should be the same as my 85. If you have any instructions that came with your still sitting around could you scan and email them to me. I have sent 3 emails to Depo and so far no response. Thanks
Alan

When I put them on my 85 (Bosch, not Depo mind you) I also had to get a new connector. I just clipped the one off the parts car where the headlights came from. Then you just open up the connectors and rearrange the pins.

I don't know if you have contacted the seller yet, but I imagine that he kept his connector for the euro lights. I would recommend ebay if you have no euro 126s in your local yards.

FWIW, mine came from a 500sel. Sometimes they have euro lights, sometimes they don't. I think it depends on who imported them.

New connectors for sure of going from US. I am sure at $9+ they are over priced. Directions provided are "okay" but not very well done. But I bought the "kit" anyway since I did not want to hunt down the 6-plug connectors. It was a convenience buy.

I went and hooked up the city lights. Very nice touch. Just a small 168 or 194 bulb. Had to take apart and solder the side-marker connector. That was maybe the hardest part.

I agree the price seems a bit high, but he had to go find them, get them off the car clean them and solder the extra wire on and and make up the instuctions and print them, which i thought were fine and then sell the pair for $9, i dont know about you guys but i dont even want to have to drive to the JY and back for $9 Don

I contacted the seller and he said he had clipped the old harness connections when he removed them ( this car is being sold off piece by piece ) The Depo lights were on it when he bought the car so he was not aware of the difference in the wiring. I did go to the Depo site and they state that they are "Plug n Play". What they do not say is that is if you have the adapter. Regardless I am happy with the way they look and the seller is mailing me the adapters. I will have to solder the connections but that is fine. Hopefully the wire color coding all matches up. I will update. Thanks for all the info guys ....Happy New Year !

Unless you want the city light function you should not need to solder anything. You will simply rearrange the female pins in the connectors to the correct position.

This is for a 126, but should be similar if not the same for your wagon.

No clipping. Just re-distribute pins.
