Not sure how I feel about this 2 tone work

This is w114/5 is for sale near me. I keep looking at this thing, 1 minute I kind of like it, the next I think it looks like a Turkish taxi.

Oh My !!
Why would some one do that to a Mercedes?
There should be a law against it.
It needs to be taken to a paint shop to be put out of its misery.
What trailer park did you find it in?
I would be careful getting into it, probably used syringes every where.

That the one on CL for the last month or so? Down near the airport?
I think it'd look better to me if the hub caps were silver rather than red.

I've seen that before on the 115 chassis. Maybe a factory option?

Personally, I don't feel like these cars look good as a two tone. Understated class is the point with a Mercedes in my opinion. Might as well go with some tribal graphics and a 2 foot spoiler if you're going to ugly them up anyway.

Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder: I also like the look of the old bird-bath hood era dodge trucks, and most people think those look like something the dog left on the lawn.

PS, between the wheels, the paint, the lowering job and the euro bumpers, #3 kinda looks like a glorified VW squareback type 3. Then again, as far as wagons go, thats not a bad look.
