W210 Motor in a W124

Quick question, my reading tells me to put a W210 OM606 into a 1995 W124 E300D I will have to swap the injection pump, motor mount arms, and the accessories over.

Is that it? Is there any other major thing hindering the installation?

Thanks!

The 1995 E300D already has an OM606 engine - are you asking whether it can be replaced with the same engine out of a 1996-97 E300D?

You would want to keep the motor mounts, the secondary fuel filter assembly with shut-off valve ('96-97 has an electric shut off) and the throttle linkage from the '95. You might need to swap the IP or maybe just those pieces unique to the electric fuel shut-off.

1998-99 E300D were turbocharged/intercooled, a much larger job. Much easier to stick to NA unless you really want the extra power (in which case an OM603 would be a lot easier to do).

YMMV.

Except for the injection pump, I believe they are the exact same engine. 606.912 as opposed to the 606.910.
