Door Stop OEM or MEYLE ?

Rushing to a Dental appointment a few days ago ( had 2 wisdom teeth removed)
I stopped a a store and opened the door it did not swing out any more than usual but when I tried to close it it was stuck. My Dental coverage changes next year so I did not want to miss my appointment. Anyway I stood outside the car and pushed the door so I could see if anything was rubbing and to make sure there were no issues with obstructions. I got back in and after looking at the hinges and trying to free up the door stop I got in the car and gave it good tug and heard a creak and a snap and the door closed. Anyway I know it is the door stop but any input or experience with the different brands available here ? I love it when people get in this 25 year old car and feel the solid thunk when the door closes as well as the solid feel when you open it.
Last week I made a 400 mile round trip to a job site with 2 business associates
and one of them has a new Benz. He was blown away by the car. I had to tell him that there are better examples than mine by a long shot. He was amazed when I told him that mine was not even fully up to spec yet. Sorry.... thoughts on the door stop?

I had essentially the same thing happen with a rear door on my 124. I had to force the door shut and heard a pop. I replaced it with the Meyle and had no trouble for the next 50K I had the car. Not hard to replace either.

If you are talking about the Door Check, I think the only available replacement is OE. I replaced a couple on a w123 some years ago and they weren't expensive.

I just saw muleears post. So there you have it. Take your pick.

Got it ! Thanks. They are not expensive but I plan on keeping this a long time so I just wanted to make certain.

It's a good idea to always compare OE prices with the aftermarket stuff. Sometimes OE prices will pleasantly surprise you.
