the heat in my 87 300D is not working, and i think it is the blower motor

the heat in my 87 300D is not working, and i think it is the blower motor. i have no idea how to fix it, any advice would be very helpful. thanks.

thanks for the advice, i thought that replacing the blower required removing the dash, but this seems much less complicated.

If you decide to get one from the junk yard, PNP etc... instead of trying to repair yours. I have a 12v makita electric drill battery. I cut off the leeds from a $3 Harbor freight Digital Volt meter, soldered on some flat spade ends. then use this to test the blower to see if it works.

move an electric seat, or use it on a window motor/regulator to remove it, etc....

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

The most common failure is the "strip fuse" which can look good and still have a crack, renders the blower in-op.

He's referring to the aspirator, not the main blower.

Are you sure? I don't see any mention of the aspirator blower.

The aspirator is a different thread (and different poster): W124 HVAC temperature sensor fan R&R
