Diesel stuffs
My local Quality Farm %& Fleet is closing for business. The whole chain is closing, as a matter of fact. So everything is on sale, oil, battery, everything,
So if there is one near you, go and take a look. So far, I have gotten the following: 1. Mobile Delvac 1300 15W-40 oil for $4.54/gallon. 2. Mobile 1 75W-90 synthetic gear lube for $4.89/qt. 3. Mobile 1 15W-50 synthetic oil for $3.43/qt. 4. Those MB ceramic fuse. 10 fuse package with a puller for $1.39. (3 25-A, 3 16-A and 4 8-A). 5. Some 9004 bulbs for my W124s, $4.20 each. I will probably go again in a week or so to get more stuff when the discount percentage increases. They have their own brand of diesel rated motor oil in 15W-40, 10W-40 and 10W-30 viscosities in two gallon jugs. The 15W-40 is CH-4 rated but the others are only CD. They also have a lot of these synthetic-blend that are CF rated. I will probably stock them up if they are still there next week even though I have enough oil for a couple of years now. Mobile 1 said the shelf life for their oil is 10 years. Question. They have a lot of bulk fuel hoses. I want to get some so I replace those in my 87 300TD. They have sizes like 5/16, 7/32, etc. What is the size of the MB diesel hoses from the tank to under the hood? I read from somewhere that the ones connected to the inline filter and the (cigar) return hose (not the injector return hose) are 5/16 in size. Thanks. |

On my MB, the lines from the tank to the engine are made from steel with rubber hose ends.
