*% 300SD fan blower fuses
A friends 85 300SD keeps blowing the fuse and it has melted a little around that area. The blower motor has been replace but the problem persist.
Any thoughts as to where to look next?

Replaced with a new blower? A properly functioning blower still has a pretty high amp draw.

Phantom,
One of the first things to check is the actual amperage draw of the blower motor itself. Does the fuse blow instantly, or, does it take a while to blow????

This blower on the w126 has a known problem of melting fuses. There is a MB approved external fuse fix for it.
617 melts fuse 11 in 1985 300SD... what's the scoop? .
