92 300d vacuum issue ?'s

Ok well today my climate control randomly decided not to put out heat and not select different vents. Also my rear headrests do not work, which I know for a fact worked the day before. Also the door locks were acting fun. So I started digging around under the hood and found the main vacuum line to the egr and turbo stuff unhooked, but I know thats never been hooked up because ive been trying to find that line for a while now..(she runs so much better this way btw)

Anyway now that you have some background, I started thinking wait arnt my door locks and headrest powered by a separate electric vacuum?? So what would cause these accessories not to function? Also does the climate control have anything to do with this or is it just a separate vacuum issue?

Any input would appreciated

Headrests and CCU are from the engine-driven vacuum pump via a common vacuum line that IIRC goes through near the master cylinder.

The door locks run from the pressure/vacuum pump under the rear seat (yellow air lines).

thanks, I went out and looked and one of the lines going through the firewall near the master cylinder was very very brittle. So ill be replacing hard vacuum lines.

I'm surprised it runs well with that vacuum line disconnected.

Well I had a big miss like running issue that i couldnt get rid of and it randomly went away the other day. It now runs smoothly but idles to low, but I think that is unrelated to this. (ovp/eds)
