You mean the little plastic see-through filters?

What's there to get crotchety about a Honda for? Don't those cars pretty well run by themselves??

By secondary filter, I assume he means the spin-on filter. The primary filter is basically a plastic screen - if that thing gets clogged you've probably got some problems in the tank.

I guess the classic fuel starvation symtoms were pretty classic.

I call that (the spin on) the main fuel filter. Funny thing, my SD started cloggin up at the 10K mileage mark, so I just started changing it at 10K increments. I think the clogging up is a function of higher mileage, older diesel Benzes. I might be wrong though. Why is my newish/lower mileage '99 300 ETD's main fuel filter good for 20K+? Food for thought.

I would also call the spin-on filter the "main" filter, meaning it does most of the filtering. But I always refer to them according to their placement in the fuel flow. Primary being the first filter the fuel encounters and secondary being the second one. Now it makes me wonder what other people call the primary and secondary filters?

A bunch of idiots over there!! I'm trying my best to wade in slowly, but at times I just can't help myself. You have NO IDEA how many posts I've deleted before hitting the send button.
I haven't seen it today because I always come here first. Heck, allot of times I come here and stay here, and never make it over there.
First, my friends are over here. Second, a just much sharper crowd over here. Third, much more interesting cars over here. Fourth, see 1-3......
