Thumbs up 82 SD no longer leaking... oil that is...

fresh new cooler lines installed!
I'm proud of myself. didn't jack up the engine or loosen the motor mounts at all!
I did remove everything air conditioner related from the engine bay prior to touching the cooler lines though (I'm planning a total rebuild of the A/C!)
I had no issues loosening the connections.
my car was already missing all the little mounts for the lines, so that's next on my list from the parts yards...

I have done this job myself as well, but I did have lift the motor. I must say, after all the swearing and throwing tools, I was pretty pleased with myself upon completion of the job; but it sure was a nightmare during the process. I still wonder what Mercedes was thinking when they designed the oil cooler hoses in such a manner, surely they could have found a better and easier way to install those things. At the very least, a hose that doesn't develop leaks so frequently.
