I've bought Purolator at times simply because I needed one. But most of the time when I pull the Purolator out of the box it has "Mann" stamped on it.

Yeah, the center stud on mine is stripped as well. I'm curious Steamboat, what's the vent line situation on yours? Do you have that open hole on the top of yours as well?

Pictures
There is a vent hose to the valve cover. I have attached a few pictures of the engine bay.
I was thinking about epoxying the stud of the center clamp into the stripped base, not much use as it is. Regards,

Paulem, if you put the vent hose into the hole on the top of the filter cover you'll dump oil through the oil separator in the housing and it will drip out of the drain on the bottom. In cars with the oil separator it drains through a tube back to the oil pan. In your case it will just drip out. If you continue to use the air cleaner you have you shouldn't put your breather tube to the air cleaner, you should leave it attached to the intake. And I'd plug the hole in the top to keep unfiltered air out.
