85 190D glowplug replacement?

I just received new glow plugs and what I thought were glow plugs were not.
I thought they were under the intake plentum but when I pulled one it looked like a temp. sending unit and coolant came out!!
Where are they?

They are under the intake, there are 4 of them. There are wires connected to them.

Here's a picture showing where they are.

In the picture, the intake manifold and injector lines have been removed. You don't have to remove any of this stuff to replace the glow plugs.
