Actually my tag is from Abaco, I lived in Marsh Harbour from 1999 to 2004. It was off my old Toyota I had there. I also have a couple of yellow anniversary tags from Abaco, and a pair of Andros tags with matching number on my truck and the girlfriend's car.
I mentioned Nassau, as I got a ride in a 300td that was a Jitney/Taxi back in 1985, that was the exact twin to my TD.

Yea, the cross bars were a nice find in the storage compartment!!
I actually will use them alot, as I haul plenty of boat gear, and the roof rack was a must. Great spot to put fishing rods, gaffs, boat hooks and such when taking gear on and off the boats. I also love the look of a vintage aluminum cooler on the roof, when hitting the beach. Rear headrests would be nice, but the seats will be down 90% of the time, so I really would never need them. 3rd row would be cool, just to have it, but I would never actually use it. I don't think I know 6 people that I could stand in my car, together!!! I always thought the 300td was as close to the perfect vehicle as you could find for the boat/beach/fishing/sailing life, sort of a do-all vehicle that still looks good for an evening out. I am very happy with my purchase, best money I have spent in years!

Here are a few shots of the the "Jitney" doing her thing, down a the marina. I decided to drive it to work, down to the boat today. It was a beautiful day to blast down Hwy 1 with all the windows down and the sunroof open, listening to so some good tunes on the old Becker. I had forgotten how nice an old Benz is on the road, just great.
The owner of the boat I captain insisted on going for a ride, when he saw it, today. Seems that he is an old fan of the W123 and owned several. He is 80 years old, it was cool to see him get excited about an old car. The girlfriend insisted on going to dinner in it, when I got home, so the old TD has been getting alot of exercise the last few days.

So far, I am about $1600 into it, so far, including the price of the car.
The big cost was the new vacuum pump, filters, and touchup paint. Still need to spring for tires, and a center driveshaft bearing, but nothing so critical that I cant enjoy it now. Actually it looked pretty rough when I got it, just took alot of elbow grease to get get it shaped up. The PO had touched up dings with yellow housepaint! ( I tend to be a bit obsessive on cleaning and polishing, so things usually get worked on, till they look right). Had to run down to the marina again today, for a minor problem on the boat, I was suprised when I headed home that the dash lights started to work all of a sudden! That was a nice suprise! The exhaust is nice and clean now, after a valve adjustment, a good seafoam treatment, filters, oil change, and some hard running miles. So far, 400 miles and no oil use or leaks, and the tranny shifts great now. A great old wagon!!!
