What is the name of the color of my interior???

What is the name of the color of my interior???

I want to buy carpets, upholstery, etc. and there are a few choices, but I don't know which color it is.

I have an 81 300CD in light gold with an interior which is a cross between burgundy and brown...

Try This

This URL might help you with the color.

http://www.worlduph.com/vinylmbzlate.htm

Also, they do offer interior replacement materials. I have no experience with them, so I can't comment.

However, I did get the site from Mercedesshop.com thread, so if you do a search, you might get some referrals.

Thanks for that web site, I probably wouldn't have found it otherwise.

I will call them and ask, as their Middle red and Sienna look the same...

I wonder if there is a color code on the car?

There is a plate by the hood latch, I believe, that has the color code for the ext. paint and who knows, perhaps the interior? Your VIN number can probably be deciphered by the dealer parts shop in order to get a color NAME.
good luck.

Possibly Tobacco. If I had my Performance Products catalog on hand I would look it up. They show all the various colors MB used.

Rick

Thanks for that.

It was while perusing the Performance catalog that I became confused. (well, maybe a bit before that...) The colors were inconclusive.

Maybe a dealer would be kind enough to take a look at the car and start a new debate.
I can see it now, all the old sales guys arguing as to the name of the color. "...yeah, they don't make that color any more, we can't get them color cows no more."

Ed, I have the Performance Products catalog in hand now. For the W123 cars in 1981 the colors that are something like you described would be "Sienna" or "Henna". The "Sienna" appears to have more red in it.
