I haven't had to spend a lot of money in my year of ownership either. I put replaced lower ball joints on it before driving it home from FL and UCA's when I got home. Other than that it's been regular wear items, tires, oil changes, and new brake pads just last weekend. I think we both benefitted from Hatties having spent so much on it previously.

Sorry for the thread hijack................

And I have just purchased "China" from TylerH860, and I am thinking that "Frau Blue Car" a play on "Frau Bluker" (cue the horses) would be appropriate........
That is trying too hard. That car is already named........

Love Young Frankenstein though. {or is that Fraukensteen?}

While I like most of the names here I have to admit I have never named an inanimate object, car or otherwise, and just don't get it.

When I used to host an annual crash-n-bash we named those cars because I made people... but that was about intimidation and it was painted on the car.
I named the W116, Jagdpanzer (hunting panzer), my 510, Hirohito's Revenge, my E21, M-Spot (spoof on M-Sport and a the, uh, evasive G), and my Reliant, K Rations (only to be consumed in emergencies). There were others but the old grey matter, she ain't what she used to be.

For those interested the W116 was abysmal at this type of thing. Nowhere near as solid as I expected and very vulnerable to critical failures. A 1985 Celica was by far the best and actually lasted two seasons... the only car able to do this. The 510 was close as it did 2 1/2. The BMW was an absolute blast because it outpaced and outhandled absolutely everything but was, much like the Merc, easily damaged and prone to failure due to easy hits.

Its normal... Right...?

My TE is named Jane because the navigations voice is set to Jane... Plus, when it spits out wrong directions, it gives me the ability to focus my anger.

lol, I love pandora, I may have to steal this for mine. Im another person who doesn't name his cars, they are usually differentiated by calling them by the year, or model number, but most often, I refer to whichever car as "the one that runs" in response to which one we are taking. This title switches around on a weekly basis.
