87 300d, dropping rear spring and wierd fuel issue
Can I drop the main link (lca?) on the rear end to drop the spring?
Also really weird fuel issue. So I replaced the overboost valve when I bought the car. After fixing the linkage recently I started getting a pulsing at WOT. I assumed it was fuel starvation issue, but today proved other wise. Recently, within the last few months, I have been getting no ALDA boost for the first few minutes of driving. Overboost valve again right? I by passed the valve this morning. "fuel starvation" issue has disappeared however the no ALDA signal for the first few minutes of driving remains.

It really hasn't been unusual for my ALDAs to malfunction in the cold.

Yes, apparently dropping the lca is a safe way to remove spring but gettng the bolt lined up upon reinsertion is difficult. I have not done this myself test but plenty of reading suggested it. Also there is a YouTube video I saw recently doing it. And Pierre Hadary said it is fine as well.

I did this. Handy I put in lowered springs. Probably easiest suspension in the world. 3 bolts in and out all done.
Anyone have suggestions on my fuel issue? Its almost like the problem is electric....
