When is was 20 below this week, my tank was full and I hadn't added any PS when I filled it up. Just poured a few ounces in when it was about 5 degrees the night before and it was just fine the next day.

Yeah, a whole quart of PS White may have been overkill. But I'd only done a couple partial fills on the tank since coming back from NC 2 weeks before, and hadn't even added any PS Gray in the meantime. And I kinda doubt that they even know what winter blend diesel is down here in southeastern Texas. Better overkill than starving that high pressure common rail CP3 pump for fuel.

Temps had been up in the 60's and 70's for a few days preceding the cold snap, and I'd been running on a partial tank. I filled it up before the cold snap hit to preclude any condensation and water problems.

Not being able to get into work wasn't an option - we have to keep the heating and air conditioning systems going at the UTSA campus 24/7 - "essential services" would probably be the term I'm looking for. The district manager set up a cot in his office and basically lived there for the past 3 days.

We got 2°F a couple of nights ago. Goes without saying that I had to use my wife's car to get to work that day...
