Close to me also. I'd take a run over for you (with a waiver that you agree not to sue me!) but I know Strelnik well and if he says run, better do it Forrest!

All I'm saying is he was willing to charge me once for a repair. An extra 800 for a dual coolant hose change when I was unable. Not even thermostat.

But hey, maybe he saw Jesus and is a gentle kind honest soul...NOW

HA HA HA HA HA

I looked at a Z28 Camaro, 2001? model year I think it was, maybe '00, that ended up down here in Texas in '08 from lower Michigan... the car ALREADY had rust bubbles in wheel arch areas and the entire under hood area was surface rust. I was beyond shocked and learned my lesson from the past... if you see any rust already, there is tons more that is hidden. (Qoute)

That is not bad ,they must have taken care of it. ten years on a newer car up here and there is bound to be holes in it.

I had an Expidition that i kept in primo shape, washed it all the time kept up on the chips and cracks in the paint and still had some slight rusting in the rear wheel wells after ten years. the only way to keep them from rusting is to only drive them from May to October.

Is it normal for these to have the rocker panels painted the same color as the cladding...? Hmmm.

I know of several 300SDLs in the Memphis area. I drove one a couple of years ago, but couldn't get an asking price out of the guy. I'll be happy to stop and ask again if you have any interest in traveling down here. I promise to give you a tour of the local un-official Mercedes museum and maybe eat some BBQ with you.
