this is bad subframe mount 85 300D

Newbie here. While replacing the center section of the exhaust (thanks peachparts) today, I jacked it up on the sub-frame bushing and placed the jack-stand on the sub-frame. When I let the jack down, the bushing separated on the left side. I had been hearing creaking noises while driving around. Maybe this 'splains it. At the risk of asking a dumb question: how bad is this? I need some schooling. There is a fair bit of rust back there so I was looking at the most solid parts to pick and support. Perhaps I chose...poorly.
This is a new car to me and so far I like it well enough. So far I've replaced the motor mounts, flex discs & center bearing support as well as a bunch of little stuff. It still has a weird vibration/thrumming at speed that I need to get sorted out when I have some money to throw at it, though it looks like the sub-frame bushings might have to come first.
I have been browsing this site since I got the car and am impressed with the breadth of knowledge here & the friendly "search" feature.

welcome newbie!
we do friendly here, and helpful.
you gotta do your part though. I'll edit your title if you tell me what kind of car we are dealing with.
post your vehicle year and model, also it helps to give us a location where you are for some questions, so click on your user CP and add a signature, and your address/town/state too.
any help questions need to include your vehicle type and year so in the future when someone has a similar question, their search will pull it up!
thanks!

the pics look like a 126 from a 300SD, but I'm not certain. either way, I'd at a minimum pull some good subframe bushings from another car!
or click the buy parts link up top, and get some quality replacements!

my bad

the vehicle in question is 1985 300D with 140K. Originally from MI, it made its way east maybe 10 years ago and has been run on biodiesel by the PO for the last couple. I thought I added the relevant info to my sig, but I guess it didn't take. I'll try again

Welcome, I know it is just a common phrase but if you use all the resources of this site you will not "throw money at it ". Take your time to do some searches and you will find what you need to do the job correctly and in most cases the range of prices from cheap to WHOA!
Again welcome
Alan

Yeah, I'd say that's bad. The rusted bent piece should be easy, but you'll need to inspect the subframe itself and the mounting points.

There should also have been a bolt in there. Did it break? Rip through the rust?

Without the subframe attached to the car, I don't think it's safe, creaking or not.

There's a dedicated links thread on suspensions. That's where I got the pic from.

The bolt is there, but apparently not attached to anything now. Time to read up on frame/subframe repairs & maybe take a ride over to a nearby Mercedes mechanic in the Honda. Good thing the 300D is snowed in, removing the temptation to drive it anywhere. After fixing the exhaust, I did sit in it, listening to the engine purr while having a celebratory/remorse beer.
