722.6 to Chrysler W5A330 swap?

Hi,
Has anyone looked into swapping in a Chrysler W5A330 (300C transmission) into a w210 as a more affordable option to buying a new 722.6 transmission from MB dealer? There are more aftermarket options available to Chrysler owners.

I'm just trying to find a reason to keep my w210. The transmission is due soon, I think.

What do you guys think!?

Thanks!

I am curious to know how this is easier and would cost less then an MB trans.

It somehow would have to bolt up to the Engine and Flex Plate.

The overall length of the Transmission would have to be close enough in length or the Drive Shafts would need to be shortened or lengthened.

Hi,
It wouldn't be any easier....In fact there would be some extra research to do regarding the electronics.

That said, I just think there are more options available. For example, there are new valve bodies available to Chrysler 722.6 owners that are/can be built to preference, like shift harshness and shift points, that cost under $600. Then there are high performance transmission builders for the Chrysler version who offer new kits which include the new valve body and assembled for about $1700 with MB oil. That's a lot cheaper than a rebuilt unit from MB dealer.

I spoke to one of the builders and he said that the transmissions are pretty much the same. And that they use AMG parts and MB oil only.

I am wondering if anyone has gone down this road? Or am I going to be the one with arrows sticking through me. You know, you can always tell who the pioneer is....he is the one with the arrows.......
