Oil pressure sensor location?

I'd be very grateful if someone could tell me where the oil pressure sensor is on my 1983 300sd ...... I was poking around tonight, admittedly with a rather dim light in freezing temps, and could not see anything that looked right.

I have the classic symptom of failure - gauge at 3 bar when the ignition goes on, but without the engine running!

Thank you.

It is down at the Bottom of the Oil Filter Housing but to the Rear.
If you trace the Turbocharger Oil Inlet Tubing on down to the Oil Filter Housing it is on that side of the Oil Filter Housing

It's really easy to see from underneath. look up at the oil filter base, and you will see the can with the wire on it.

Thank you. Darkness and -3C was not very conducive to crawling around and looking for it.

Of course it has to be on the bottom of the can rather than the side, doesn't it?
