I have a spare fuel filter ready. Thanks.
Rule of thumb, I use one ounce on all diesel cars = it does no harm.

I use one ounce in each of my diesel fuel tanks every year as a precaution.

It's not at my NAPA. I got Diesel Kleen instead.

I had to order it from my local NAPA. It came the next day(which was today).

I added it to my fill-up this evening, we'll see how it goes.

For a while Napa carried "SolTron" which is the same thing, but apparently they changed the name to "StarTron" not too long ago so they still had some on the shelves. IIRC the part number did not change. In my experience most napas have Diesel Kleen (which includes antifungal agent along with "injector cleaner" and cetane boost) on the shelves.

I should say that I did have to order it. It came in later in the afternoon, but at the latest it will take overnight.

The fuel in my prefilter is not the usual clear amber color this morning. It is an opaque dirty grey now. I'll try to post a picture of it later. I guess the Startron "Enzyme" is doing its magic.

I've got my tools and a spare secondary filter in the trunk just in case.

This is the view of my prefilter with 135 miles on the tank after adding StarTron.

Normally the fuel is a clear amber color.
