1979 Frost Blue 300 SD. Total mileage unknown.

When I bought her about three months ago she was hard to start and smoked and sounded like hell (much like my first wife, now that I think about it). With the help of this board I've been able to revive this beautiful old girl, somewhat. Starts with ease, virtually smokeless, and sounding much better (exhaust patch).

The ultimate family car with just enough quirk and intrigue about her to make it fun to drive.

(Did not fare nearly so well with the ex, that exhaust patch might have been put to good use in her case...)

I beat my 1984 300DT 160 miles a day round trip into and out of DC. It is running better today than when I bought it 120K miles ago. I don't have to add oil between 3K changes and it delivers 26 (winter) - 28 (summer) mpg.

I won't include a picture yet, but I most often drive my '88 300E with 206K miles. I wouldn't be afraid to fuel it up and take off on a 5,000 mile trip.

More importantly, I trust my daughter's well being to a 20 year old 207,000 mile 300D. It is important to me that she not have any breakdowns that might present an opportunity to some guy up to no good. She had a brand new pickup for awhile before she rolled it over. I feel just as confident if not more so that she will get where she's going in the old Benz.

Have a great day,
