w124 seat in a w123?
Will a 124 front seat bottom fit in a 123 without big modification? It's out of an '86 300E, it would be going into an '85 300D.

it's been found that the lower rails will not line up with the floorpan. it may be possible to swap the 123 rails onto the 124 seat. then bolt the rails to the floorpan of the 123.

You can use the W123 passenger seat bottom for the drivers side. will have to swap the rails though. I have done this on my 85 when I had 2 broken springs.
If my foggy old brain is working correctly this morning, seems I read the W126 seat bottom will work also in the W123. Charlie

yup. the 126, while a tad wider than the 123 seats will bolt right in.
