Febi vacuum pump for om60x engines. Made in turkey. Copy of the Made In Germany Pierburg pumps.

Packaging is sub par when compared to the Pierburg, never installed it. Returned for refund and ordered correct OEM replacement.

unfortunately the country of origin means nothing now as there is counterfeiting of parts or assembly only in a specific country..

to identify its origin now, a part has to be judged by its quality and fit

FEBI claims some parts are Origingl Equipment on Mercedes.
JURID and FEBI are part of the same company. No country of origin on the parts
At least in the past were OE for Mercedes; pulled off of my 1984 300D the JURID Disc has the Mercedes Star on it.

Does anyone have a recent purchase of Febi Flex Discs to show what country they are made in or if there is a place where the Mercedes star is ground off?

Note in your Picture the Washers are not round. I found a picture on eBay that had the same type of Washers on it and it saied it was OEM Brand meaning the Company OEM.

Now at the bottom of the Disc in the Picture from eBay it has Made In Germany painted on the edge.
I would be assuming that that is a fake made in Germany on it.

Your pic and the eBay pic are the only 2 I have seen where the Washers on the Disc were not round.

The front flex disc and the rear flex disc are different in my case, the front have the non-round washers. The rears are round:

This is the one listed on Auto Haus AZ's website. O.E.M is listed as the brand (not sure if that is the same as the Company OEM.

This is the one listed on *********.com's website. Lemforder brand:

Rear Flex disc, Lemforder on *********

When I went to Parts Geek and looked up 1991 Mercedes 300D it only showed 2 Lemfoerder Discs the Front $76 and Rear $40 were Different. Both were listed as OEM parts.

I think there ought to be a law against calling a comany OEM or O.E.M.

I could have stuff made in China and I could name my Company USMade and put that in big lettes on the Box or stamped on the Part.

If it really turns out that the OEM company Flex Disc is actually made in Germany there must be some issue with the Car or Germany is starting to make crappy parts.

I just put the Lemfoerders on the front and rear of mine and the Made In Germany is cast into the Rubber; not just stamped onto the Part.

Another problem is the parts Sellers often I think use the incorrect picture. I have seen where they had a pic of a Mahle Oil Filter and said it was Bosch and below it the had the Pic of the Bosch Oil Filter and said it was a Mahle.

The Chinese aftermarket flex-disc I mentioned on the first page, came in a plain white box with a German description and German-sounding name. The words 'Made in China' had been blacked-out with a marker-pen, but were still readable. Pretty sleazy!

It's possible your aftermarket fles-disc was actually made in Germany. That was very common until recently. Unfortunately, cheap Chinese products are now proving too irresistable for some parts re-boxers.
My Chinese flex-disc had no recognizeable markings on the part itself. Just 'Made in China' on the box that someone had crudely attempted to black-out, with some additional German writing that was probably supposed to give the impression that it was a German-made part!.
The Chinese rubber was hard as a rock, so not wanting to over-stress the 30-year-old tranny output-shaft bearings on my 240D, I returned it, and got a decent one from Mercedes.
