Aneroid Compensator Adjustment
What is the proper way to adjust the aneroid compensator on a 84 300d turbo? If it is turned all the way out will it harm the engine? Will it effect fuel effeciency? Any help is much appreciated.

Hold the nut with a 10mm deep socket and a visegrip attached then use a small blade screwdriver through the socket to turn the screw about 11/2 turns C.C.W. I only turned mine 1 turn and that did not affect economy or smoke. I also adjusted the wastegate to 11# of boost, both could take more but it's good like it is.

Aneroid Adjustment
Thanks for the reply,
You mentioned 1 1/2 turns CCW. What is the reference point that you are using. Is it all the way in? Would it harm the engine to have it all the way out? Will it effect fuel economy? Thanks DieselNation

11/2 turns ccw from stock. All the way out will affect economy and smoke, may cause more wear to the engine.
Try 1 turn, then some more if you like but only turn ccw. |

Tampered with
It looks as if mine was tampered with already. I am not sure if it is in the factory setting now.

Aneroid Compensator Tampered with
It looks as if it was already tampered with. Does anyone know how many turns it should be set at from the all the way out position?
