I've tried it. It doesn't fit. But like I said, it's easy to fix.

That car is ratty. Get a good look under it and if there are holes in the floor, pass. These convertibles rely on the floor and rocker structure to keep them from folding in half.

If you do buy the car, keep it under 1,500$.

Hmmmmmm.

I have 123's with the 110 and 617 and I am pretty sure I have measured them before and found the 110 is actually taller at the front most point so I am wondering if when installed in a 107 the 110 might have a low profile pan or special motor mount arms to sit it lower in the chassis?

Cause all the rest of my cars are diesel... Plus with a 87 603 it would be as fast as the gas engine but get much better MPG. (Plus would sound cool...) Course, easier to work on, more dependable the list goes on. I like being a little different.

Fairy Nuff!

I don't go along with the sound though - unless you go for something very modern - they say that the new generation BMW diesels won't spill a drop of coffee if you leave a mug on the valve cover and rev the engine to max! (Believe that if you will!)

If I had the chance I'd build an electric motor powered SL with a gas turbine powered generating set.

Na na na na na na na na BATMAN!
