Oil at $100 might be a tad too high to be maintained over the long term, $90 might be more reasonable. I wouldn't be surprised to see gas/diesel settle in at about $4-5/gallon for a while.

Thumbs up

Oh well, we are just closing in on the pricing the rest of the world pays.

Need to do some calculations, but I may end up parking my Diesel powered vehicles here.

3.499 today... filled up the TD... when speculation was high and it jumped from 2.99 to 3.14, I filled up a 30 gallon barrel... we'll see how long before I have to dip into it... I figure at 4.50/gallon, I'll conserve my driving habits, and start dipping into the stored fuel I've got... possibly investigate bio production...

Lets see....a $1 increase per gallon in fuel price would cost me about $23 more a month based on what I drive. (Barely 115 miles a week) I'm not too worried. I will however, enjoy laughing at 12MPG SUV and pickup drivers feeding their 25+ gallon tanks every week. I work with people who drive between 100 and 130 miles per day to get to/from work. They are crazy.

Currently around here I've seen diesel between $3.47 and 3.65. RUG is around $3.39 most places. So diesel is still cheaper than the fancy fuel the 300E likes to slurp......though once again, my wife drives about 15 miles per day currently.....come fall, it will be 3 miles as she won't have to travel to a second location for her job anymore during the day.

$5+

It was stated today on CNN that Reg Gas is expected to hit $5 BEFORE Memorial Day. Means Diesel will be $5.35+. Time to go back to WVO.

Here in Holland

Diesel is now 1.38 euros...

...a litre - so that's 5.23 euros for one US gallon.

At today's exchange rate that is $7.20

@ Craig - Nobody here has stopped using their car yet.

Right I'm definitely moving.

I've had it here with the crappy weather and expensive fuel.

Down south you've got snake oil, cheap 4X4s, cheap fuel, surf, sand, sea, BBQs, and proper engineering jobs...

$3.60 in my neck of the woods. I use about 45 gallons a month going to and from work. About a 72 mile round trip.

fuel price

I have been paying $26.00 a day for home heating in lower Westchester,NY which is about $3.60 per gal. I also use fuel for my 85 300D, and it is only about a dime higher. Doesn't seem just right.
