Just a heads up for anyone considering doing this, Deborah at wefilterit.com has those T fittings so you don't have to go the route I did by drill and tapping. She has then for $15=$6 for shipping just give her a call.

If you really want to filter it get one of these

IDP Spinner II Oil Centrifuges
I personally think it is a solution to a problem which almost doesn't exist. Very few Mercedes die of wear caused by contaminated oil. The bodies rust off the car , the car meets pole or ditch. The suspension wears out or the electrics finally get too flaky. The transmission goes or the engine overheats. The Million mile cars don't have aftermarket oil filters just good maintenance.
