Odd, that you need a USA address to sign up for the free year.

I don't have one, as I live in Canada and all..

Bummer

That's because it's for US customers only.

Thanks for sharing.

If I may comment and express disappointment. Once again a "free service" that will not allow you to sign up without providing a credit card. If a service is free, I shouldn't have to put my card out there. With so many billing mistakes each year, I avoid providing card info unless mission critical.

Too bad.

True, I had a friend configure a certain amount of space on my mac so I can access the epc.

While I may not like the fact that I have to disclose cc info for using the site I've never been billed for it, and it provides a wealth of knowledge, in fact for $12 you can gain access to european market models as well, which I should have done this time but wasn't thinking when it came time to renew.

Go to your bank and request another debit card for your checking account (ADDITIONAL, not replacement). Once you get it, activate it, use it as the card they require, then go cancel/close the card so there is 0 possibility of them charging it.

Voila!

Does this program display the diagrams of the different parts systems on the car? For example; you visit the parts counter at the dealer and in order to confirm that he's ordering the right part, he slides his computer monitor towards you and there's a number next to the bolt, O-ring or whatever tiny part your looking for. Thanks

Its essentially the same system they use at the dealer ship.

All you paranoid credit card on the internet people, its really not that scary. Even if your card number is stolen, they just about never make you pay for anything that might be charged on it, and then they just close the account and give you a new number. Not that big of a deal.

^ Yes, the dealer has an even better version of the epc, at least that's what the parts person explained to me.

I have had it for years, no CC issues. You have to renew every year, I use the free version, I don't have a Euro, so don't really need it. If, in the future I do, I'll simply renew and spend the $12.

I've been using this since 2009 and never had an issue with erroneous charges. Great source of info for my gray market diesel.
