I unplugged the top line from the switch over valve and blew back to the ALDA but no air would go through. The line from the bottom of the switch over valve looks intact to the back of the manifold.
a clear inline filter is not proof that your filters are clean.
the prefilter is only capable of catching particles larger than 10micron... the large spin on filter will not only separate out water, it's good for 5 micron or smaller due to blockage.
the FIRST thing you should always do with a diesel motor when problems running or accelerating happen is replace both fuel filters. and remember. they can clog up in 1 day. one bad batch of fuel and they are toast.

All looks good to and from the ALDA. I'm going to have the local MB shop test drive the vehicle and see if it isn't just me missing my 68 Firebird...will advise.

The first thing I would do is remove the banjo bolt at the rear of the intake manifold and make sure it is not clogged with carbon. Disabling the EGR is also a good suggestion, it will stop this from happening again. My '83 is completely stock and has plenty of zip from a standstill.

It will help decrease it. There is still plenty of otherways for it to get plugged.
