coolant thermo wire disconnected

On my 84 300D the wire on the coolant thermostat located above the coolant thermostat came disconnected and is about 18" long hanging from the thermostat. I can't find where the wire is suppose to be attached. Please help,thank you.

A picture on this one might help us all.

I have to go look at my thermostat housing to see what I have there.

cut coolant wire

The wire attached to the coolant temp sensor broke and can't see where the other end attaches.

Where does the other end of the wire Go?

The wire should follow the discharge line from the auxiliary water pump to a junction located below the coolant reservoir. It signals the CCU that the coolant is warm enough to start the blower.

loose wire

Would it be possible to send a photo showing the connection. I' m a 40 year master electrician and can't see where the original connection originated. It was a clean break,thank you.

Here is the photo you want. Also note the 1 amp fuse for the circulator. Saves your CCU if the circulator goes to heaven.
