Yeah

He probably did. I know nothing about Texas. And proud of it.

That is funny Bill, I was sitting here looking at his post and thinking the same thing...wondering if I should just ignore it or try to explain to him that it was a strange attitude...LOL...Greg

You all got me jealous now

Greetings All,

I guess I've got to move to Texas now. Here I sit in the Show Me state and am getting jealous about Larry starting the BBQ grill with mesquite flavored diesel fuel. Damn, I wish I wasn't so far away from you all. This '84 300SD is running so fine and looking soo good, I'd love the road trip, but time sure has a way of turning an afternoon get together into a four day trip. It's unfortunate that the job demands too many hours out of the week to get away for a shin dig like this. Would be awfully nice to meet some of the folks that have kept me looking in the right direction for easy to fix problems. I'll take my burger or steak medium rare. Have fun guys.

CAN-DO...... come on down, tell us the max amount of time you can afford to stay and we will run you off at that time.... Elgin is famous for BarBQue... and I am thinking about bringing my pit with mesquite for warming us up... Greg

I'd Love to but 14 hours with the kids!

Greetings,

I'd Love to come but something tells me that I'd end up with the kids riding with me as well. Trust me, 14 hours of "Are we there yet" coming from four kids just isn't my idea of relaxing. If it was somewhat closer I'd leave them home for the day and come alone. Just to see all the great Benz's we talk about daily would be great. If you haven't gotten the idea that there aren't many folks around here driving these great cars, you should. This is pick-up truck country, to fit in that is. I got one of them to.

CAN-DO, Don't you know how to walk out the front door saying,, "I am going to get bread and milk".. and come back in three days later carrying bread and milk with a dazed look on your face ? Four kids ? I guess we know how you got the nickname 'can do' ....

Hmmm...I think I could beat that, though not technically a car, a 1974 Datsun p/u. It's been used as a farm truck for the last 15 years so it's really beat up, but to it's credit it runs, sort of.....

If I have time I may go down there to see how many show up. I'll take my car though.

This seems like it will be fun. My '75 240D will show up with me in tow where ever the 'dig is held.

He (Named Grandpa Lewis by 19 yr old daughter -- he was her first) wants to try out his new front calipers and valve cover gasket.

Maybe I will get around to sending for his 500,000 Km badge in time to wear it for the occasion.

Can do,

Maybe we can have the next one a little closer to you, like maybe Queen Whilhemena Sate Park on the Talimena drive.

Have a great day,

If we're going to get every Texan from Mercedes Shop we should make a new thread in the other categories.
