As the title says, I have a shudder when going down hill at highway speeds with the throttle partially in. When you completely take your foot off of the pedal it goes away. When you push down on the throttle to speed up it goes away. I have only noticed it when going down hill and using a little bit of the pedal to hold my speed.

1995 S350 W140 267,000 miles or so. It has been doing it for all of the three years and 31,000 or so miles I have owned it.

I have searched many times over the years and am now looking for advice. Any ideas?

hmm. sounds like a lockup converter not staying engaged... do 95 140's have lockup?
I'd take it to a good transmission shop and have them run a onboard scan during a test drive to see what the car is doing.

Thanks, but it behaves exactly the same with the cruise shut off and being controlled by the driver. Low chance it is the cruise control.

Two mechanics have said the flex discs look good. I have not checked anything else. It would have to be in the drive shaft, connections, or possibly differential supports. Just my guess. I am hoping for someone to chime in with a "mine did that" story.
