Too bad you're not close to TN. It looks like a parts car with a decent front end would fix it up. Someone here would like it for what the yard will pay perhaps ~$300-500.

Last post, car going to FW PNP

This will probably be my last forum post.
I've enjoyed the exchanges and sharing information but I will no longer be a diesel owner after tomorrow. Excellent chance if you are in the DFW area to get good parts and a good turbo engine at the FW PNP. See details at

this.

i'm all for the idea of fixing the car, but it might make more sense to take stock of what good parts can be picked off the damage car and put into a new body. if paint was already in the cards, then pretty much all that needs to be found is a rolling chassis with a decent interior (no engine, ****ty paint).

i'd way rather do an engine swap than body repair!

CR I hate to see you leave the Forum, I enjoyed reading your posts in the past. Hope you will be back in time.

If I wasn`t in calif, I would have picked it up from you. seems a shame as I know there are forum members in your area with in 500 miles of you. $500 is a good price, compared to pulling the parts and buying them from PNP. the eng and trans, you are looking at $400. $60 for a complete door, $85 for the Diff., $42 each for a trailing arm, $35 for ea rear axle. thats $879 or so.

So that is one more out of the inventory. and in a month what ever not removed will be crushed and gone to China.

Take care CR, hope to meet you one day.

Perhaps get a shipping quote. The parts alone would cover the cost of shipping it to you, I would think. Right? Where else can you get a one-owner , running parts car for that kind of money? I would have to jump on it, if it were me, and I wanted/needed the parts. Cr is right up the road from me, and he seems to be a heck of a good guy to boot!

Why would I want to pay $800 to ship the car and then pay CR $500? that`s $1300. if the car was here in Calif, and I got it for $500, then all I would have is my time and a few PNP parts. Plus I would paint it my self.

that would be another fun project to do, along with all my other fun projects.

Too late - It's going to be signed over to a charity later today.
