Looking for Tranny swap threads need info_

83 300d - bad tranny out(722.315) tranny going in from an 81 300SD(722.303). The seem to look identical. I know I need to swap aft assemblies for speedo, but is there a thread of all that should be done before the swap? Also, will the same torque converter work in both?

I don't know of any specific thread, but the speedo issue should be the only thing you need to worry about.
