Vacuum Switches for Climate Ctrl. HOT

85 300d. the vac switches that sit on the hvac case are getting hot enough that i cant touch them for more then a second. this only happens of course to the ones that are energized. two of them (that seem to be energized most of the time, def. and recirc or main flap cant remember) have gotten hot enough that they now leak when energized(plugged line to vac motor no leaks, watch vac gauge be at 25", energize vac switch, watch vac drop to very little). Im assuming that 25 years and 340k miles have increased the resistance of the coil winding somehow, generating a lot of heat? I wouldn't think that the control panel assy. would regulate current or voltage to the vac switches, and i forgot to check those values. Anyone else have similar experiences and perhaps a source for new switches other then M-B?

i should mention that despite the leaks the climate control works as it should in all modes minus the a/c. ive also resoldered the control panel. im hunting the leaks because when the climate control is hooked up it steals all the vacuum from the top VAC port of the flying saucer.
