300TD Euro

I picked up an 82 300TD Euro a couple weeks ago. The right rear is sagging dramatically. Any thoughts?

Bad hydraulic ram on the SLS probably. Could be a broken spring I suppose. Any evidence of leaks?

Sagging on one side only is probably going to be either a bad or severely leaking SLS strut or broken spring. I guess you could also have a clogged hydraulic line on that side as well not allowing the supplied pressure to raise the rear.

It's also a possibility that your Euro wagon doesn't have SLS and you've just got a bad spring.

Talking Consider the advantages

You can probably fit into tighter parking spaces downtown now.

If you attempt to drive it as-is, NO ONE will dispute if you park in the handicapped spaces.

No need to fret over door dings in parking lots.

That bit of squat in the rear probably gives a better view of overhead traffic lights at intersections.

Hook the bumper to a tree with a chain and drive forward

This is the perfect opportunity to make a 300TD flatbed conversion. Just load your motorcycles or whatnot back there, and let the SLS do the rest...

it looks to me like the car's been modified to fit in those pesky spots with the light poles in the middle of them.

Looks to me like all it needs a couple of new SLS accumulators and you'll be good as new.

Or maybe it tried to fit in one. On the bright side, I now have a fuel expansion tank.

How about to an F-150? If you ever loose your key or the latch won't open, this method definitely works!

Did the roof warp when it got hit? Looks like a pretty solid hit.
