oil changes

I change oil and filter every 5k miles with Mobil 1 synthetic 15w whatever's available. I've changed it every 5k since I bought it with 110k miles on it. I also rotate tires with each oil change. I disabled my egr a very long time ago.

fuel mileage

I get 30-33 around town, and 36-38 on the highway. Even when driving 60 all highway, coasting when possible, windows and tire pressures up, and gentle acceleration, I did not break 38 mpg.

I could drive all city, with a heavy foot and still never get below 30. NEVER! And with that engine you are almost always driving with a heavy foot.
Just smooth as silk, plenty powerful, and amazing on the fuel mileage. The OM606 with the turbo must be an awesome power plant. Too bad it's surrounded by the W210.......

Hey! For a while there I actually liked the W210 body styling better than the W124. I'm finally slowly starting to come around to the W124.

I think the W108/109 was probably the best looking Mercedes ever, unfortunately it went away before the turbo-diesel passenger car engine came about.
