My badges on the rear of my 903 blue '79 300CD are from Germany. The one on the left is a rally badge which are obtained when one attends a car rally which are very popular in Europe. The one on the right is from the Police Athletic League in Berlin. You can find them on eBay doing a search for "car badges". The mileage badges are from MB. You fill out a form and have a MB dealer verify the mileage and they will send you a badge. You can get the form on the MB web site.

If you're using grille badges to cover up rust, that's much.

Or if you have a chrome nekkid lady grille badge...

awesome...

I wish I had some of those -- all I have in one for high mileage (mine has over 650K - same engine - new used tranny)...

Where did you find the others??

thanks for the pic..

Hey guys, what have you found to be the most stable way to attach your badges to the grill? I attached mine with a small rubber washer on each post followed by larger metal washers and the lock washer and nut. My soft rubber washer is starting to crack. Any better solutions out there?

Silly question - I'm new to MB's.

Where do you get these badges and what do they represent?

I've only used milage badges, which are avail free if you take the car to an MBz dealer and submit the form to corporate HQ in NJ. You get a nice book too!

I've searched for the form to no avail, anyone got a link? Man, I've done this once before, so I know it exists.

The form is on the MB USA site under "classic community".
Here's the link

Grill badges are a personal thing. some like them some don`t.

Maybe move some to the other side to balance it out some.

I have 2 milage badges and the Meredesshop.com badge I bolt on when going to a GTG. don`t want them getting sand blasted from road debris etc... I like them, wish there was a way to keep them protected besides being in a box most of the year.

Charlie

I sprayed mine with clearcoat over a year ago, they still look new.

They look silly and tacky on a car that needs nothing extra clipped on it.

I used to have a mileage and country badge on my grille but took them out to give the car an cleaner appearance in front.

The 250k km badge started yellowing and the badge separated from the backing plate. Put it on my bookshelf with the other badges (500k km, and 3 other 250k km badges).

Oh wow - how many kilometers / miles has your W123 done then?

(Sorry I'm not all that interested in your W124... I don't know why... must be something to do with the lump of metal and rubber on my driveway that has done 0 miles in the last year)

The badges came from my 190E (226k miles - current), 300TE (265k miles - current), 300D (230k miles - current), and 300TD (370k miles - sold).

When was a kid I saw so many Mercedes with Masonic badges I thought they were a dealer option. ;)

Badge on, Garth

I say keep adding badges that are meaningful to you until engine cooling is affected:D
